Strawberry Chocolate Granola Smoothie

Is it time for me to start sharing my recipes? Hmmm…

I am warning you though, they are stupidly simple...Like really simple that I have been wondering if it is even worth doing posts on what I eat! But as I thought about it, while on my walk with Lucy, I realized that YES, I should share my recipes, because:

  • I want to promote the companies that I LOVE;

  • I want to educate and inspire you to how EASY it is to make healthy meals;

  • I LOVE food, I LOVE talking about food, and I LOVE how good food makes me feel good inside and out!

Food does not need to be complicated. You do not need thousands of ingredients...You do not need fancy ingredients...and you definitely do not need to spend a ton of money to make healthy recipes. For my lifestyle and my needs, simple works BEST. Another thing, when it comes to food, just like with working out, is that YOU have to listen to your body and your needs. If something does not taste good, or makes your body feel BLECH, then just don’t do it. Simple as that…

For example, when it comes to making smoothies these days, I am having a really hard time finding a protein powder that doesn’t make me feel like crap. It has been probably over a year since I have even consumed protein powder. The bloating was painful and horrible, so for smoothies these days, I use Greek yogurt. Plenty of protein in there to fuel my body after an intense workout!

Be patient, listen, learn, and do what works for you, and most importantly, what makes you feel good. I will also make sure to explain with these recipes, why I like them, why I make them, and all that jazz, so you know the reasoning behind it all.

As we venture down this road of Katie’s recipes, I will also share certain appliances that I use on the regular and why I love them and why they make my life easier when it comes to cooking.

So let’s start with this stupidly simple, healthy, easy, and DELISH smoothie recipe!
