CURRENTLY LOVING IN JANUARY

HI FRIENDS! It’s Tuesday and it is a short week for us in Charleston, as we are heading to the West Coast, to beautiful Encinitas, CA for my job and I am so excited to go back…to meet my clients face to face…and to connect with influencers who I have only been working with via email and social. There is a lot that is going to be happening over the rest of the week, so make sure that you follow HERE and HERE! Shannon has never been to CA, so it will be fun to show him around to some of my old stomping grounds and see old friends.

Before we take off, I just wanted to pop in share some things that I am currently loving or loved! good FOOD, good READS, good PEOPLE, and always good FITNESS! ENJOY!!!

OAT MILK - It has been a game-changer for my morning coffee. I love froth and I was honestly tired of almond milk. It was too runny and just blah, so a few friends had recommended Oatly to me. They promised it was “frothable”, because is there anything better than a frothy cup of coffee in the morning? Oatly is the best one for taste and frothing and it is easy on my gut. I highly recommend it.

MY HAIR STYLIST AARIKA - She is the BEST! It took me a LONG LONG LONG time to find a stylist in Charleston and I had some serious hair mess-ups that made me so mad and had me waste a decent amount of money...the worst. So when I needed someone to correct the color of my hair, the salon recommended Aarika and BOOM, I have been with her ever since.

Beautiful, kind, fun, and patient, I highly recommend her. And her prices are totally reasonable. I am a little nuts about my hair and always have been, but she puts up with me and my Instagram messages, questions, and all the things. If you want to know anything else about her, feel free to ask. Her contact information is - Aarika Napolet - 843.352.7267!

YOGURT BOWLS - I have been eating a LOT of these bowls. After a hard workout, it is what my body is craving as of lately and I always make sure to feed it what it wants. These bowls are simple, ready in minutes, versatile, and loaded with all the goods to make sure that I’m replenishing those muscles with the right amount of protein, carbs, and fats. What is typically in them...Here are the details:

  • 1 cup of Fage Greek Yogurt

  • 1 serving of fruit - Apples are my jam as of lately, or I use strawberries!

  • Toppings are either Michele’s Granola (use this code to get 15% off your next order - KATIEUHRAN15) or a heaping spoonful of good old peanut butter (lately I am LOVING Whole Foods Honey Roasted Peanut Butter that you can make yourself...so GOOD!)

KATE COUNTS - OBSESSED with this AMAZING woman! If you KNOW you KNOW! If you don’t know, then I highly recommend that you sign up for one of her classes at The Works! They are some of the hardest classes that I have taken. They are challenging physically and mentally. Sometimes I wonder WTF I am doing there, as I am completely soaked with sweat…my heart rate is through the roof, and I may just be cursing under my breath. But in the end, I realize how much I accomplished, how strong I am, and that I am a badass. SO, I keep signing up and I keep coming back. It is insane, but in a really good way…And her music is the BEST!

THIS BOOK - WOW! I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It is pretty disturbing, a little creepy, but it is really good and I would definitely recommend it for a good, quick read. I couldn’t even put it down while I was getting my nails done on Saturday. Well written and a good ending, so go pick it up and let me know what you think.

Next on my list is “Before We Were Yours”. I have heard a lot about this book and I am excited to tackle this one too. I know I have said this before, but reading is my favorite way to disconnect and unwind at the end of the day. It gets me out of the social media space and gives my brain a nice break. And I am still not going to switch to a kindle. Turning the pages is my thing and being al library nerd is also my thing.

LEG EXERCISES - I am ALL about the legs and to me there is nothing sexier than strong defined legs! I think I love leg exercises so much, because there are a plethora of moves that you can do with machines, dumbbells, and just your body weight. You can never really get bored and that to me is always a plus. You can constantly change the routine to keep your body guessing.

Remember when I shared this killer combo almost two years ago? These are the kind of moves and circuits that I LOVE to keep your heart rate up, to strengthen not just your legs, but your entire body, and to burn baby burn.

Stay tuned, because I’m going to share another post SOON of some of my favorite LEG EXERCISES, that you can add to your next workout. Sound GOOD? I hope so...

Tell me something that YOU ARE CURRENTLY LOVING!
